Commonly Asked Questions

Is there a minimum investment?

No, but we strongly suggest investing at least $500 to ensure that there are sufficient funds to execute all trades

Why is the performance between the Darwin and eToro different?

Our eToro account has exposure to Forex, indices, equities, and other derivatives. Our Darwin has exposure to Forex only.

Darwinex also has an added risk procedure, which means that trades are not always executed at the exact price of our entry.

How long should I invest for?

We strongly suggest investing for at least an 18 month period.

Are the accounts leveraged?

Both copy trading accounts use FCA standard leverage of 1:30 for Forex and derivatives, and 1:1 for stock investing

Could I lose my investment?

As stated on both eToro and Darwinex websites and upon account opening, it is possible to lose more than your investment, due to the leveraged nature of the products traded. SMT Capital obviously follows strict money and risk management policies, but profit and capped losses are not guaranteed
